Wow. I just received this yesterday (last night to be exact) and put it on right away. I felt relief in my upper back/shoulder blades immediately. I personally didn’t think it changed my appearance until I walked by my husband wearing it under my hoodie, and he told me I looked different. “Good different” he clarified.The instructions say to start wearing it for a short amount of time and work up because it can be uncomfortable. I wore it the night I received it for an hour, and the discomfort I felt was mostly under my armpits, but it wasn’t unbearable and definitely worth that for the immediate change and pain relief.Background on me: I’m 5’3”, 130lbs, medium build. I’ve had large breasts and bad posture since I was 14, which caused neck and upper back pain. I was a year-round swimmer for years, so I have broad shoulders that are still kind of awkward to me even after years of not swimming competitively. I’ve seen a chiropractor every week since high school for my neck and back pain, which helped but never fully alleviated the discomfort for long enough to skip a week.UPDATE! 1/3/21I had been wearing this brace almost every day since I received it, but now I am able to use it less and for less time. I have been using this brace for several weeks because I was having neck and shoulder pain. The pain is now greatly improved. I would highly recommend this product for people who have similar issues or people who want to avoid such issues. Anyone who sits at a computer all day or use a sewing machine could find this particularly helpful. It is very easy and comfortable to wear. Nobody will know you are wearing it unless you are wearing very tight or sheer clothes. As an added bonus your posture will be greatly improved and you will look better as a result.
My husband really loves this for correcting his posture. I didn’t even know he bought it or was wearing it under his shirt the first day he had it, and I complimented the way he looked. That’s when he told me he was wearing something to correct his posture. I guess correct posture really makes you look more attractive, especially in the chest, upper back, and neck areas, because he definitely does! When he’s not wearing the device, his posture has greatly improved without me even noticing he had bad posture before, and we’ve been married 13 years! The device trains you how to stand correctly even after you take it off.He’s had this a few weeks and has only worn it a few times with great posture pay off. He did mention that it hurts him to wear it too long.
A few months ago I was rear ended by a semi-truck and dislocated/fractured a couple vertebrae in my neck which led to me having an anterior fusion. It has been a long road of recovery losing muscle to hold my neck straight and maintain a good posture all on my own. Been called turtle neck by several family members. Lol. This led me to try and find something to assist in this recovery.Well a couple clicks on Amazon later and I come to “Comfy Brace”. This has been so much help straightening up my posture. I’ve been wearing it for a couple weeks now and have been very impressed. The first couple of days I would wear it over my shirt but have since been wearing it underneath. Not as uncomfortable as I thought it would be. Got used to it farely quickly. Also the brace is not visible. Friends and family did not realize I was wearing it at times unless they really looked for it. As you can see from my before (green shirt) and after (white shirt) pics my posture has come a long way. It’s a great product.. never really thought about my posture until my back started to hurt cuz of slouching. So a friend of my recommended a brace and I found this product..I highly recommend it! It’s comfy and easy to use. Sure for first timers, you might say it’s painful and not comfortable.. but remember.. adjust the length to your liking. It will change you mind.
I’m very glad I purchased the Comfy Brace. It helps me to not slump especially when working in the kitchen. I also use it in the yard for all the chores I do to keep my back supported. I’ll be ordering more of these to always have on hand. I do believe you can wear it under your clothing and nobody would know. It is very light and well made. I wish I would have bought this sooner. Before I give my review of the product, I’d like to quickly respond to another reviewer who stated that the seller demands a good review. A review that over a hundred people found helpful for some reason. That review was a lie. I received the same letter. It demands nothing. It was just a nice little letter saying that if I liked the product to please leave a review and if I had a problem to let them know. We all get those emails from other sellers, this was nothing out of the ordinary. And the fact that the other reviewer is a suspicious person who can’t verify that this seller really is a mother of three should be neither here nor there. Why didn’t they just ignore the letter? I’m sorry, but I can’t abide that kind of unfairness and dishonesty.Okay. That said. I bought this for my 16 year old daughter who has mild scoliosis and slouches constantly. It’s something she’s self-conscious of and trying to work on. She has chosen to wear this a few times every day. I’ve never had to remind her. She finds it very helpful. Furthermore, she is a tall, thin girl, and I think it says something that while wearing this product she looks even taller and thinner. It’s amazing what good posture can do for one’s appearance! I recommend this product highly. Unless you are really grouchy and don’t like sweet little letters.
After living with lower back and hip pain for 10 years, thanks to two car wrecks, my posture had become increasingly worse. After a lot of research, I decided to give Comfy Brace’s Posture Corrector a try and I am so glad I did! I’ve only had it for a week and it has already helped me so much. I wear it a little tight for a few minutes, to help train my body. Then, I loosen it and wear it for several more hours a day. Just having it on is a constant reminder to correct my posture. I couldn’t be happier with it, I’ve already recommended it to several family members who have shoulder, neck and/or back ailments.
I just got my brace yesterday and wore it for about half an hour, so that’s where I’m coming from with this review.My family have noticed my poor posture lately and have been commenting on it, so I’ve ordered a new chair for my home office, a lumbar support cushion for my chair at work, and this thing for when I’m not at either.I’ve got a large torso and wide shoulders, so I wasn’t sure how long the straps should be; eventually I decided to put them on with only slightly lengthened straps from the default. They’re elastic, and fairly strongly so, and they held my shoulders back in the proper posture without trouble. My family noticed immediately that I was standing straighter, so clearly they’re doing the job, and there wasn’t any noticeable discomfort from the relatively tight straps.The seller recommends wearing them for short periods until you get used to them, and I can see why: I wore them only half an hour because my shoulders were getting sore.The fact of the muscle soreness suggests that my body is actually doing some of the work to hold my shoulders back (probably unconsciously), and that’s good news: it means my rear deltoids will actually be tightening up over time while wearing them, improving my posture even without the brace on. I don’t think this is the ideal solution for poor posture – barbell exercises for the chest and upper/lower back are the best solutions – but for anyone without time or access to a gym this is at lesat a reasonable alternative.I can’t say how well this would help people with longterm injuries or chronic pain, as I don’t have either, but at least as far as a single wearing this product seems to be exactly what its advertised to be. I’ll update this review in a month or so, after I’ve worn it more.EDIT: I’ve now had the brace for two weeks, and I can safely say that its much more comfortable to wear for longer periods now than it was at the beginning. I’ve restarted my weightlifting regimen, so it’s hard to say which has had more effect, but I’ve noticed myself automatically sitting up straight without having to consciously make myself do so. Obviously, this involves tensing muscles, so I have a little bit more soreness after long periods sitting with no back support than before, but that’s been fading as I become accustomed to it.
