Hi everyone, I would like to introduce myself, as well as my family.
I am a 50 years old married man, my wife is 54 and between us, we have 6 children ranging in age from 37 to 17.
My wife and I have become extremely health and fitness conscious in the past four years or so, and one after another all of our kids followed in our footsteps. What an amazing difference this has made in the quality of all of our lives! When it comes to getting and staying healthy and fit, there are no age limits, and you are never too old nor too young to get started!
WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO STAY FIT AND HEALTHY
We try to make informed, healthy food choices most of the time, and follow what
we call the 6 out of 7 rule. Six days of the week we stick with our healthy choices, Which includes a very low carb intake. On the 7th day of the week, we allow ourselves to enjoy whatever foods our hearts desire, without completely overindulging.
Fitness is also very important to us and we try to exercise on a regular basis.
We have found that there are 2 main deterrents that can sabotage these goals.
These are time and money!
The healthiest foods, including lean meats and fresh produce,
can be pricey. Gym memberships and home fitness gear/equipment can also be very costly!
Finding the time to actually go to the gym can really be quite a challenge if you are working
full-time, have children to care for, as well as dealing with all of the many other daily
obligations and activities we all have!
